Copy of an email from Gary Cokins to Liz Skala Stuyvesant.

Sad news. This past Tuesday Tom passed away unexpectedly. With other relatives I was with him at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago. You may not know he had a treatable form of Leukemia and had completed treatments this past year including some type of chemo., so his immune system was vulnerable. An aggressive viral infection attacked his organs Saturday … lungs, kidneys. The doctors could not identify its source.

Sorry to be so brief with this e-mail.

I am in Chicago ... Riverside ... now and will spend time with Michael and Sydney. They are parentless. Fran became a great support to Tom after Connie. They just became engaged to marry soon. What a lucky guy to have two great women in his life, but he drew a bad hand of cards. Fran is arranging a cremation soon. A memorial will be this Sunday 2:00-6:00pm at Kuratko Funeral home in North Riverside, the same location as was Connie's memorial. My wife Pam will join me here soon.

So sad.

I am currently with Tom's kids hanging out at Fran's home in Riverside. As you may know Fran is a widow who raised her three children, Patrick, Kate and Connor in Riverside and theybwho also went to Blythe Park, Hauser, and Riverside-Brookfield High School as did Michael and Sydney ... and Tom and I too ! The five kids are roughly the same age and are like a family of five kids. It is great support.

Linda Hatfield (Torrison)

1950 to May 8th, 2010

Linda was born in Berwyn, IL and spent her childhood in Riverside, IL.

For those of us that knew her, she was a sweetheart with a heart of gold, smiling eyes, and always a lot of fun to be around and always upbeat no matter what the circumstances. Linda is pictured to the right with her son Dusty not long before her death. Always smiling.

In her early twenties, she found the love of her life and moved to CA to be with Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers.

Although she suffered from lupus for many years, it never stopped her from experiencing the joys of life. In honor of her courage, Bobby created the Bobby Hatfield Charity Golf Classic--they raised millions.

Linda was the type of person people loved to be around. She was vibrant, witty, loving and drop dead gorgeous. She had a way about her of making others feel comfortable and putting them at ease. Linda found peace at her river house in Parker, AZ where she would relax in the sun and go on boat rides. She enjoyed bowling, playing tennis, and golf. She loved getting massages, cooking, watching her favorite TV shows, and most of all spending time with friends and family.

Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby. She is survived by her mother, Coni, children, Dustin and Vallyn; two brothers, Kip and Rick; sister, Gay; a host of nieces and nephews, and the family dogs, Rocky and Rambo. Her unrivaled ways will be carried on in those she loved.
